I hope to be able to post more updates about the mod once its a little bit further along. Men discover more slumbdering 'gods' scattered throughout the world. Modding CK2 doesnt involve any kind of 3d modelling, usually, since its mostly a 2d game, and most of the units on the map can be represented by 'vanilla' 3d models. Dragons and Giants are almost exterminated, with the former leaving the continent and the latter fleeing to the frozen north. I don't know how difficult this would be to change in a submod, all of my modding days was with Victoria 1 and CK1, but I think this would add a little more flavor back into the mod that I feel is missing.100- Men discover the Pale King in the Deep, and declare it a god. In scenarios before the Iron Throne, Holy Wars between the North, The Vale, the Iron Isles, and all its neighbors does not seem far-fetched (Indeed, characters in the novels do seem to draw general distinction between members of different faiths, with various epitaphs and names), and in the wake of a possible sundering of the Iron Throne, old enmities that had been buried under a general sense of tolerance could flare up again. Not to mention many popular uprisings in Westeros history under the Targaryens have been tied to religion.

Holy Wars are obviously not unknown to the Faith of the Seven, as King Baelor once mused about launching one on the North, and a big motivator of the Andal Invasion was spreading the Seven to Westeros (all of the self-mutilation for seven-pointed stars, burning of weirwoods). If not, just up that, rather than have 3 different kinds of Old God worship. In this mod, our team is working to recreate the world of Azeroth in all of its glory, particularly focusing on the story of the classic Warcraft strategy games and World of Warcraft. The opinion malus Wildings and Mountain Clansmen already get should be enough to stop intermarriage. 'Guardians of Azeroth' is a mod with a worldwide development team, based on the Warcraft universe by Blizzard Entertainment. ~Just another possibility, but also unify all of the different 'Old God' faiths into one. Since Holy Sites are still in, allow the option to reform these faiths if all of them are held (A very tall task, since the Old Gods faith would require territory under the Night's Watch and North of the Wall, and the Drowned God would require Harrenhal, which is quite a ways away).

The lore of ASOIAF support this, as neither faith in the books have a holy book of canon, dedicated houses of worship (A Weirwood is not the same thing as a church), and for the Old Gods there is no caste/hierarchy of priests. ~ Make the Old Gods and the Drowned God religions unreformed pagan faiths. I think the mod suffers from this detraction, and think a submod that adds these features back in would be a good idea. Holy Wars are not an option, and religion in the end comes to be mostly about opinion modifiers (Along with the occasional flavor event, of which I will grant there are plentiful, especially for the Old Gods and Drowned Gods). In the mod, every religion starts off as reformed, and while there are Holy Sites, they are of little consequence. Yet, I have always felt there was one area that was lacking compared to Vanilla CK2, and that is religion. The Game of Thrones mod is probably my favorite of all the CK2 mods, and the depth and effort that goes into it in every new version that comes out is astounding. I've spoken about this in the 'Things you would like to see' thread on the main page of this website, and having no modding skills for CK2, I thought it would be a good idea to post this here and see if anyone wished to pick up the idea and run with it.
